This book contains four Dene stories, as experienced by Raymond Yakeleya. "Flight Through the Rainbow" is about flying through a rainbow in a small plane to experience magic sensations of colour. It also tells the legend of the spider and how it catches drops of colour in its web. "The Midwife" contains stories told to Raymond by his Granny Harriet about bringing the spirit of babies into the world. "The Slingshot and the Songbird" is about a boy's contrition over killing a friendly songbird. "The Medicine Brothers and the Giant Birds," told to Raymond by his uncle George Blondin, is about giant birds when the world was new. An animated film of "Flight Through the Rainbow" is available to readers of the book through QR code links in the book.
