Sent on a Quest by the Wizard, Merlion, I was all for a big adventure. I packed my bow and arrows, my cheese and bread, some change and the magic map that the wizard gave me. I took Bo, my Siam hunt cat. It was a great adventure for at least the first day and then, my father's sworn enemy, the Baron of Sliverly though I would make a tidy ransom. I escaped by the skin of my teeth and wanted to go home. Merlion said the fate of his world and mine depended on my finishing the Quest. Duty, honor, those were more than mere words to the son of the King's Commander. So, I picked up my pouch and the Rune staff and soldiered on. I was just ten years old and if I had known my quest would take years, I would have crawled back into bed when that wizard walked out of the mist and covered my head to hide from a bad dream.
