Farm girl turned sexual assault advocate Mrs. Luna was born and raised in the heart of Pennsylvania with degrees in graphic design and master's in business administration. Luna's work ethic and passion for continuous learning carry over into everything she does. A rape and sexual assault survivor, Luna has turned the voice of her pain into a megaphone to help others and advocate for change in laws and policy regarding assault at the local, state, and national level. Her distinguished career in law enforcement has given her a unique perspective on what is currently being done to assist survivors and what needs to be improved. Speaking both as a victim and as a law enforcement employee with exposure to a wide variety of cases, Luna's forthright perspective is a much-needed voice at this time when the country as a whole faces a reckoning with how it treats both assault victims and perpetrators. Working in law enforcement gives Luna a chance to help other victims get the help they need. A beacon of professionalism, Luna is uniquely placed as a bridge between the law enforcement community and the general public. Luna seeks healing through activism, using her story and experience as a platform for awareness and change. The Shards of a Rainbow, detailing the life of a victim and her family learning to heal years after an assault is her first. When she is not petitioning her state officials in person, she can be found spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog hiking the countryside of rural Pennsylvania.
