Description

Cassie's team, The Mighty Gophers, compete for the Big 10 Title and a chance for the NCAA Championship. The Kid struggles with the restrictions placed on him by doctors as he rehabs to get back on the field fulltime. He starts out the season as a starting pitcher.

Tess Williams, the Executive Director for Greater Good Foundation decides to take a road trip down South to answer some letter requests in-person and see the area where her grandparents grew up. The intended nostalgic road trip turns threatening, then dangerous, and finally deadly as she becomes the lightning rod for the Klan.

The Southern Project contains depictions of violence, descriptions of beatings, kidnappings, and racism. It was initially written in early 2018, before the rise of the current situation. The goal of the book was to highlight Tess Williams, Executive Director of the Greater Good Foundation exploring her family roots down South. Hopefully, you've noticed that the Series has avoided describing any character with their racial attribute, that is till now. In the Series' spirit of encountering crossroads, Tess and several other characters face some difficult decisions. For those who have faced racism, I apologize in advance if my story feels weak and inept. My goal is to continue developing characters and the story.
