In 1965, a determined thirteen-year-old Phillip Walker Singleton leads his five friends and darling ranch dog Libby, into the western Colorado wilderness for a one-week pack trip. Hiking, camping, fishing, wildlife encounters, and high adventure await them on top of Barrier Mesa. After years of preparation, they certainly found what they were looking for, and then some. It would be a high elevation hail storm that would serve as a cold lesson to the "Super Six". Soon after, the boys would learn there are more than just stars and planets in the night sky. It was a bear attack on the hike back to the trailhead that would trigger a stunning sequence of events. That not only would make "Walker's" best friend "Bull" a hero, but it would ultimately save his life.
