Veric visits a dragon city, fights giant spiders, and is threatened by a dark mage.

After witnessing as a child the death of his parents, burned alive by dragonfire, Veric seeks for answers about his past in a world of humans that slowly falls into chaos and war.

This volume includes novellas 10 to 12 in the series:

10 - A Dragon's Wish: Veric follows a dragon's instructions in an attempt to solidify an uneasy alliance. This new quest takes him into a familiar city of gigantic proportions, where he will be forced to reassess everything he believes in.

11 - Hall of the Spider King: With the rising threat of the giant spiders, an expedition is mounted to try and destroy the Spider King--its nest having being located. Despite his guts warning him not to, Veric accepts to go with the soldiers so he can talk with the wizard who will guide them.

12 - The Battle of Gul Garath: The fight against the spiders takes Veric back to the one place he'd sworn never to go back to. With the 12 remaining soldiers, he tries to find a way out, but the red keep riddles their path with traps. Will any of them survive?

These three stories bring the first series to an end, resolving many ongoing plots while setting the stage for what is yet to come.

"The Swarming Death" is a series of 12 high fantasy novellas that veers progressively into epic. Though it starts gentle, it grows in complexity and becomes darker with each new installment.
