The deceitful, materialistic beauty plots the Navy SEAL's murder with her husband. The suspense builds as Tom appears to have met his match.

The story is narrated by a character who is a Nobel laureate in literature, writing about Thailand. The COVID-19 pandemic pins him in Annapolis, Maryland. He has two lovers: one a young Thai food-delivery girl and the other a Vietnamese woman working at the United States Naval Academy. The narrator shares his personal mental struggles, fight against alcoholism, parents' tragedy, thoughts about the coronavirus, and details of his love affairs, as well as many insights about Southeast Asia.

The Thai Wife Series of Novels is a planned series of ten novels by Raymond Greenlaw.
