Description

Kira Thomas writes mysteries about supernaturals (vampires and shifters) under a secret pen name that even her family doesn't know about. As she uses her amateur sleuthing skills to research her stories, she's also trying to solve the case of her father's disappearance. He, and several other men from their town have been kidnapped over the last few weeks.

When snooping around gets her attacked—and almost bitten—by a rogue vampire, she's defended by Lord Yun Meng, a titled and rich man with hermit tendencies. It's just her luck that the detectives on her father's case place her under house arrest at Lord Meng's castle to keep her from mucking up their investigation of the kidnapped men. They have to work together as bodies start turning up and the mystery gets more confusing than ever.
