Description

Totem Challenge, the third book in the Abraham family saga, begins with ship's log entries that describe in heart-breaking detail the fate of Abraham's Copper Spirit, the mother of Sea and Sky Abraham, her adored twins.

Sky Abraham is the first of her generation to continue the family journal. She begins her account in December of 1801 after accepting a position as ship's trader aboard Sovereign, a British brig trading near her home. This Native girl, who resides in Klawak, a small village in Southeast Alaska, has no idea that this decision is a life-changing event. At the end of the trading season, she discovers that she can't return home. The Sovereign takes her to Hawaii and a life full of adventure. Sky's twin brother, Sea, accompanies his father, Killer Whale Rider, to attack the Russian fort at Sitka. Sea and his friend Hunter join the retreating Russians and sail off to Kodiak in search of Hunter's missing family.

The settings for the twin's travels range from the Aleutians to Hawaii. Will they overcome numerous challenges and find each other again? Readers will discover the answer to that question while meeting the engaging characters who live this exciting story.

Proceeds from the sale of the Totem Series books go to the Ballard Hadman Memorial Scholarship Fund to support scholarships for students from Southeast Alaska villages.
