Between 1865-1875, Walter Crane designed for Warner and Routledge a tremendously successful series of fifty illustrated "Toy Books" sold for one penny each, due to their large print runs. The present edition gathers in a clean and elegant layout eight of the original stories as they were drawn by Crane, fully restored and enhanced: "The Three Bears", "Cinderella", "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Valentine and Orson", "The Sleeping Beauty", "Bluebeard" and "Puss in Boots".
