Treasures in Jars of Clay was written to inspire parents of Autistic and disabled children to view their child in a new and unorthodox way. These writings aim to not only change the view of disabled children, but also to reinvent our role as their parents and caregivers. It challenges the reader to look more closely at the gift of disability while simultaneously looking at the hidden treasures that are innate within the disability. The hope is that when we discover the beautiful treasures that are contained within in our children, we will in turn discover the keys to unlock our own treasures that lie resident within.
Michelle Coleman has been an evangelist and teacher for the last eleven years. The subject of disability and particularly Autism is a subject that is very close to her heart. She uses the gifts of writing, poetry, and oil painting to glorify the Heavenly Father, for all blessings are derived from him. Michelle resides in the state of Ohio with her husband Sylvester and their three children.
