This research seeks to find out through statistics the behaviour and trend of the number of prisoners and those who are detained in pre-trial detention in Germany. Taking into account two variables, pretrial detention of liberty and people in prison, a characterization of the subjects of German nationality was carried out, the data obtained from the descriptive statistics were compared by groups of men and women, a shapiro Wilk test, ANOVA, was applied to these data, the normality test for the data obtained was positive and the linear regression analysis using the least squares model gave As a result, the statistical forecast for the year 2024 indicates that pretrial detentions will be 576 and Germans in prison at 22,243, and by 2025 pretrial detentions will be at 583 and Germans in prison at 20,700. maintaining a trend of growth in preventive detentions of liberty.
