“Ms. Sutherland, we’re sorry to inform you that your father’s been in an accident. We need you to come as soon as you can.” The late night telephone call sends Keary Sutherland rushing to the hospital. An automobile accident has left her father in a coma from which no one can assure her he’ll wake.
She doesn’t have time to process the devastating possibility of losing her only living parent before she’s kidnapped. When she wakes in an unfamiliar location, she learns that her captor wants them both dead. She barely escapes before they can orchestrate her own accidental death, but frightened and lost must run to evade the men tracking her. One wrong step sends her down into a dark, damp cavern from which the only way out is through unrelieved darkness and up into a house built centuries earlier.
Who owns the house? Will the owner help her or turn her over to the man who wants her and her father dead?
