After missing the Rapture, the 'NOT TAKEN' congregants of Saint Augustine Baptist Church continue to have their faith challenged as they await the Tribulation. Challenges like: Your minister is not the man of God that you hoped him to be! Church folk can hurt you worse than some non-church folk! Your denomination isn't all that it's cracked up to be! These are just some of the explosive themes found in this third and final novel of the trilogy, WE HAVE NOT BEEN LISTENING: THE REVELATION. Carlos Williams, the senior pastor of Saint Augustine, falls prey to one of the themes when his earlier womanizing is exposed for all to see. Because of his spiritual immaturity, C.J., who serves as Carlos' 'eyes', easily has his feelings hurt, displaying another of the themes. In yet a third, Sister Agnes, a long time Baptist, is forced to reveal that she hasn't always been the saintliest Mother of the church. What's a person to do when he or she discovers the church is so messed up? Notwithstanding the tumultuous relationships these 'NOT TAKEN' congregants of Saint Augustine Baptist Church are having, in WE HAVE NOT BEEN LISTENING: THE REVELATION, the overwhelming theme is that God is still on the throne, still performing miracles, and still providing numerous opportunities for these individuals to turn their imperfect lives around.
