You will also learn how to make the necessary modifications when dealing with different treads and risers thicknesses. This is a common problem and usually occurs when a stairway connects to a floor or landing that uses different sized floor sheathing.

I've built over 1000 stairways and can tell you from experience that laying out the stair stringer correctly, with a solid understanding of what you're doing is the most important part of building an exceptional stairway.
