Seven Wows (unanticipated things) occurred right after Jesus died:
Jesus died on command around 3 PM on Friday, 30 AD. The 60-foot-tall veil tore in the temple from top to bottom. An Earthquake followed. Some tombs opened, and these holy people walked around Jerusalem after Jesus' resurrection. A Roman centurion concluded Jesus was the Son of God. Followers of Jesus grieved and smote their chests when they saw the mangled appearance of Jesus' tortured body. To ascertain that Jesus was dead, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear but did not break His legs.
Other parts of this book include:
Timeline from Adam to the Flood to King David to Jesus to Today. Pilate permitted Joseph of Arimathea to house Jesus' body in his newly constructed tomb. The book explains what happened to Jesus during His three days in that rich man's tomb. On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead and appeared first to Mary Magdalene and later to dozens of followers, including eleven of His twelve Disciples. The Pharisees bribed the soldiers guarding the tomb to lie and say that His Disciples stole His body. Jesus gave His Disciples an assignment to share the good news with Jews and Gentiles worldwide. On the fortieth day, the Disciples witnessed Jesus ascending into Heaven. On Pentecost, 50 days after Jesus rose from the dead, He gave 120 followers the gift of the Holy Spirit. As a result, 3000 Jews converted.Fifty percent (50%) of all book sales will be donated to Covenant House to "join the fight to end youth homelessness."
