This research was carried out in the Pilancón area belonging to the Ramón Campaña parish, Pangua canton, province of Cotopaxi, the experimental area is located at 1700 m.a.s.l., with geographic coordinates 01° 06' S 95" S latitude; and 79° 0' S 10" W longitude.m, with geographical coordinates 01° 06' S 95" S latitude; and 79° 0' S 10" W longitude have a tropical climate mega thermal humid ranging from 10- 25°C, and an annual rainfall of 1699.30 mm, the soil is sandy loam texture.The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is one of the most important products in human nutrition for its high content of protein and vitamins. It is the grain legume of direct human consumption, for the Ecuadorian population is one of the main sources of protein and carbohydrates. Bean is especially important in the diet of women and children; it is also of great economic importance, as it generates income for millions of small farmers. In Ecuador, bean is the legume with the largest cultivated area, currently harvested 89,789 hectares in dry grain and 15,241 ha in green or tender of the 16,464 ha, sown. The average yield of bean recorded in Ecuador is under 430 kg / ha in monoculture.
