A Christmas party gone wrong.
An obsessed stalker.
A librarian in trouble.
Brynlee Bourge wants nothing more than to spend her days among the books of Misty Hollow's library. When her best friend coerces her into attending a Christmas fundraiser dinner with her, she says yes. All the male attention leaves her feeling like Cinderella at the ball right down to the running from the party. Only this time it isn't because of a ticking clock. Someone paid her too much attention and she fled.
As she flees through the city park, she runs into a late-night jogger, Weston Hoover, the new chef at the diner. He offers her help, but she refuses. What kind of person jogs at midnight?
After seeing the fear on the beautiful woman's face, Weston follows her through the park. Not wanting to spook her further, he stays to the shadows. When he sees her at the diner the next day, she faints. When she comes to, he realizes she thinks he's the one stalking her.
Brynlee doesn't believe the handsome chef isn't the man she ran from. If he wasn't, then why follow her through the park? She declines his offers of help until she's threatened while with him. Weston swears to keep Brynlee safe.
Can these two keep one step ahead of a crazed stalker or will they become his victims?
