The richly illustrated catalogue is devoted to the creative process that leads Hyun-Sook Song to her paintings. Through thirty-three colour plates and two essays by Fritz W. Kramer and Josef Helfenstein, the catalogue delves into the roots of Song's practice in Korean calligraphy, which began in the 1970s after her move to Germany and continues to significantly influence her exploration of the memories tied to her homeland even today. The catalogue also features hitherto new and unpublished works by the artist.
