Tortured Earth supplemental sourcebooks provide players and GMs with new spells, potions, creatures, player species, and more.
Summoning Spells! Players can summon companion creatures (pets) or creatures of essence to do their bidding. Casters can summon swarms of insects, small and large animals, massive treefolk, or undead articulates. These spells expand with each book and are directly tied to the description of the summoned creature.
New Fusion and Unlock Abilities! Each book contains new abilities built on the mechanics described in the Game Guide.
Player Species! Expanding on the original six species found in the Game Guide, each book offers a broader choice of playable species designed to fit into the Tortured Earth multiverse.
Monsters! The supplemental materials include a wide range of monsters spanning Sci-fi, Fantasy, Horror, and Contemporary settings.
Diseases! Supplementals also include a range of mental and physical diseases designed to add strife to any character's life. Mental Diseases are parasites inhabiting the Astral Plane and are drawn to characters when suffering mental damage. Like flies drawn to a wound, Mental Parasites seek those suffering shock or mental traumas. Physical Diseases are pathogens that attack the physical being of the character. These diseases can alter the character's personality or even cause the infected to mutate into Undead creatures, Lycanthropes, or other monstrosities.
The Unofficial Account of Gavin Harris
The year is 1865. Nearly 100 years ago, the Bakarin showed up and changed life on Earth forever. Today, Gavin Harris is a cop trying to deal with the social unrest accompanying nearly 25 species trying to co-mingle in a crowded world.
A month earlier, a firefight breaks out among aliens. A blood sample reveals a possible Bakarin hybrid is involved. Within hours, his report is purged from all databases. With reports vanishing, he decides to keep a written record of his experiences during the investigation.
This is that account.
