The Book entitled "An extensive study of Kupilu (Strychnus nux vomica is composed of five sections viz Conceptual study, Analytical study, Discussion and the present section of Summary and Conclusion. In a first subdivision, the Drug profile has been presented. In its historical review progressive knowledge regarding Kupilu has been treated with its synonyms, vernacular names, latin name, family, gan a, part used, rasa pancaka actions, pharmacological uses, preparations, chemical composition and toxicity & its treatment, it cultivation & collection. Under Pharmacognostical division Macroscopic & Microscopic evaluation of Kupilu seed is enumerated. Microscopic study of Kupilu is done by the help of Microtomy. Under Phyto-chemical assessment thin layer chromatography, High performance thin layer chromatography of the Kupilu seeds both pure & impure has been carried out. In Pharmaceutical study the Kupilu was screened for its gross behaviour during every steps of Sodhana process.
