Marcus is recently coming out of a bad divorce from his ex-wife Megan. She hasn't made it easy on him. To make things worse, she's pregnant. Marcus is adamant the baby can't be his, but Megan is ready to make him pay child support for 18 years. Desperate to uncover the truth, he hires his Uncle Tim to represent him in court. Hannah is a single mom to a three year old girl, Quinn. She moves to Ohio to be closer to her family after the death of her husband. He died a year prior, but she finally felt it was time to move back home to have her family's support. Struggling to do what's right for her and her daughter, she finds herself falling for Marcus, a random guy she meets in the park one day.
