Since 2005, successive Latin American governments have increased the level of education, both primary and tertiary, and thereby in most countries in the region, the severity of income and wealth inequality has been reduced. I am sure that my early publications that were made in collaboration with NUFFIC (Dutch higher education body) on finding the causes of inequality and the subsequent remedy to increase education levels in Latin America and presenting it in a colloquium duly organized by NUFFIC on higher education in 2005 that invited Education Ministers from developing countries representing Asia, Africa and Latin America, had positively influenced economic policies of governments in Latin America that has eventually lead to reduction in wealth and income inequalities in the region.
