InspirationThe story and characters were inspired by the movie, Scarry Stories to Tell in the Dark. After getting stuck with the plot after writing the first chapter, I met Jennifer Turpin, oldest sibling of the Turpin 13. She helped me see Cecilia as believable and real. It is thanks to Jennifer that I was able to complete the story.
Final ThoughtsI wrote this story when I needed good people around me to help me see the path ahead through time of struggle. I wanted to write my first horror story, but what came out was a beautiful story of friendship and rescue. May this story help you to know that you are not alone in your struggles with life.
