I was in a bad situation at work.
The increasing anxiety attacks were my body's way of telling me it was time to quit.
But I couldn't do it financially.
As I continued to be mistreated, the anxiety attacks became worse. The mental battles I had to fight every day during and after work were becoming more and more unbearable.
By now you're probably wondering what's this got to do with you.
Well, I'm going to show you how Our Lady got me through it, and how she'll help you.
St. Louis de Montfort revealed...
"Predestinate soul, here is a secret the Most High has taught me, which I have not been able to find in any book, old or new. I confide it to you, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit" ("The Secret of Mary", #1).
He went on to call this devotion...
"...a secret unknown to almost all Christians, even the most devout" ("True Devotion to Mary", #177).
Any devotion to Mary which God revealed has to be the best devotion to her, because no one can outdo Him.
That's why St. Louis warns that taking any other path to God will make your life much harder...
"It is true that we can attain to divine union by other roads; but it is by many more crosses and exceptional setbacks, and with many more difficulties, which we shall find it hard to overcome" (True Devotion, #152).
On the other hand, he calls the devotion God revealed to him...
"...a path of roses and honey compared with the other paths" (True Devotion, #152).
And he assures you that this devotion...
"...is a path trodden by Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, our sole Head. One of His members in passing by the same road cannot deceive himself" (True Devotion, #168).
The good news is that Fr. Texier was an expert at teaching this devotion to others. In fact, in the history of their religious order, the Montfort Fathers called him "a remarkable spiritual writer."
One of the many things that makes this book different from other books on devotion to Mary is that on page 122 Fr. Texier shows you exactly how to "remain in Mary as a permanent state."
Listen. Our Lady knows her Son said: "Those whom I love, I reprove and chastise" (Apoc. 3:19).
And she also knows...
"For whom the Lord loves, He chastises; and He scourges every son whom He receives" (Heb. 12:6).
The coexistence of pain and joy in the supernatural life of souls is a well-known phenomenon.
And Our Lady's life is a perfect example of that.
It's why St. Louis promised...
"Only experience can teach the wonders wrought by Mary, wonders so great that neither the wise nor the proud, nor even many of the devout can believe them" (Secret, #57).
I know that's true, because Our Lady freed me from my anxiety attacks in an unexpected way through this devotion.
Jesus says: "For I have given you an example...so you do also" (Jn. 13:15).
And before that, He said about His Father: "I always do the things that please Him" (Jn. 8:29).
And God the Father tells us:
"This is My most beloved Son; hear ye Him" (Mk. 9:6).
That means any thoughts of ignoring this devotion or of delaying to put it into practice can't possibly come from God. Because God will never tell you to ignore His Son's example or to delay putting into practice a devotion to Mary which Jesus lived.
God gives us this backdrop to human history...
"The Lord God then asked the woman: "Why did you do such a thing?" And she answered: "The serpent deceived me, and I did eat" (Gen. 3:13).
If Eve responded immediately to the suggestion of the devil...
Doesn't it make much more sense for you to get started following Jesus just as quickly on the path of this devotion to His holy Mother?
